FANUC introduces a new feature that allows FANUC CNCs to program robots directly using G-code. The latter feature helps to unify robot and CNC programming, while reducing operator instruction. Through the quick and simple start of FANUC robotization, FANUC CNCs can now monitor linked FANUC robots providing machine care or other assistance (QSSR).
The principle of programming robots with GCODE is innovative. This feature simplifies FANUC robot programming for CNC operators.
The FANUC QSSR is a complete kit for connecting a FANUC robot to a FANUC controlled machine tool. The new QSSR G code feature enables machine tool operators and builders to conveniently program robots in ISO standard G code format using the FANUC CNC.
The FANUC QSSR not only simplifies connecting a FANUC robot to a machine tool via high-speed Ethernet cable, it also simplifies setup, programming and operation.
QSSR G code is compatible with FANUC CNC Oi-F, Oi-F Plus, 30i-B and 30i-B Plus series
Since G-codes will be used to program robots, those unfamiliar with the robotics programming language may no longer need further training or specialists. The ability to customize and operate the robot through the CNC user interface reduces the need for a separate programming console for the robot.
FANUC is a leader in both industrial robots and CNC, achieving with this new function greater integration of its production systems. Robotic technology offers users a cost advantage, greater efficiency and high profit rates.
